Ocalyn collaborated with a local fashion designer, Ben Koh of "The Material Atelier", to turn leftover fabric into fashionable clothing. The project, "Huan," was inspired by the slang commonly used in Mandarin, "Huan Yi Xia," or "Take A Break."
The Material Atelier and Ocalyn decided that our mission was to prevent the fabric from ending up in landfills or incinerators.
Together with our partners in Indonesia, we produced a limited number of coats and tote bags that were hand-dyed with an ombre effect. The products are made to promote a more sustainable and ethical lifestyle.
